LIVE: July 22nd 2006, Saapasjalkarock, Pihtipudas
Next up on the summer shows 2006 calendar was this smaller-sized festival, Saapasjalkarock in Pihtipudas. The festival is a legendary one. Back in the ´80s even Metallica played there once. The festival ceased to exist in 1988 but was brought back for one night only. Yep, you guessed right; on July 22nd 2006, when Lordi played there for about 4000 people. To be honest, I have very little memories of this gig. I think this was one of those surefire shows with nothing special or noteworthy. But I remember that after the show I drove the FOH sound engineer’s car all night to Turku and took a ferry to Ahvenanmaa where the next gig was the following night. Anyways, here’s some photos I took at Saapasjalkarock!
